ABOUT ALFORD ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT

Alford Athletic Development (AAD) is a family-owned business founded by Deleon and Amanda Alford, dedicated to empowering Buffalo’s youth through athletic training and mentorship, with a special focus on basketball. Serving children in grades 1 through 12, AAD is committed to making high-quality athletic development accessible to all.

We are proud to partner with BuffSci@Medaille Campus, where their gym serves as our home base. Through this partnership, we provide free basketball development sessions to BuffSci students, while community members can join for just $25 per session. Our mission is to break down barriers to sports participation, ensuring that every child—regardless of background—has the opportunity to grow both on and off the court.

At AAD, we focus on building skills, confidence, and positive life values in young athletes. By combining expert coaching with a supportive environment, we aim to inspire the next generation of leaders, athletes, and role models in Buffalo.

About Coach Deleon Alford

Coach Deleon Alford brings over five years of experience as a youth basketball coach, including his impactful work with the Y Jr. Cavs league, where he has helped countless beginners develop their skills and confidence. A certified fitness coach, personal trainer, and nutritionist, Coach Deleon is deeply committed to the safety, well-being, and athletic growth of every child he works with.
As a devoted father of five, Coach Deleon understands the importance of family, mentorship, and being a positive role model. These values are at the core of every session he leads. His personal journey and passion for giving back to the community drive his mission to create opportunities for Buffalo’s youth to thrive.
